Happy Birthday

I had a wonderful 53rd Birthday. I started off a dual celebration Birthday lunch last Sunday with my sister Terry, whose birthday was March 6th, my Mom, and Joe. Then on Friday I went to celebrate with "The Girlfriends" at breakfast. As the storm marched in, we gathered around a cozy fire and visited. Then it was time to head home and hunker down and wait for the winter storm. The kids came over to eat cake. Hayli and Kylie designed and ordered my birthday cake. I had help blowing out the candles - there were more than 53.

After eating cake and ice cream they raced to get home before the worst of the storm hit. The next morning we woke up to almost 7 inches of snow. It was beautiful.

By Saturday fternoon the sun came out and it started to melt.

It was a great day so full of my favorite things - family, friends, a cozy fire, and snow.

Spring Break

Spring Break was a busy week. We started out with a hot dog roast. S'mores were the highlight. This was Kylie's first time eating S'mores and Hayli was our pro. The weather was so nice that week and we went on many adventures to their favorite parks. Toward the end of the week Strep Throat made it to our house and some much needed quiet time for Kylie, Liz and me.

Snack Time

Pawpaw got this pic of Kylie laying against me while snacking on grapes and watching Little Bill. Her favorite "B" (her blanket) is keeping her all warm. Hayli will be coming home soon and quiet time will end.
